Minecraft: Learn how to make all potions in the game / read the description

In Minecraft, potions are items that give the player special abilities that will help them take on stronger aggressive mobs or simply facilitate their adventures. In all there are ten different potions available in the game, and each one can be made into a version that can be ingested or thrown. See how to create them and know the advantages and characteristics of each one.

To start making your potions you need to create your "Potions Holder". To build it you will need three boulder blocks and a glow stick (this item falls from Blaze, a monster that lives in the Nether). On the workbench, place the three boulders in the bottom row of squares and the stick in the center square (see image below).

To put the potions in you will need glass jars, these containers are made with three glass blocks arranged on the workbench in a "v" shape, the same way you make a bucket, with one glass block in the left center little square, another in the bottom center, and another in the center left.

One ingredient that will be present in all potions is "Nether Fungus," an item found in the Nether, usually in fortresses. You will also be able to grow the fungus in a place near your portal within the Nether itself, this will help you to always have fungus at your disposal. To make a portal to this world you will need 14 obsidians (you can make this block by throwing a bucket of water into a pool of lava, the meeting of the two elements will form the obsidians, which can only be broken with diamond pickaxes, to make the portal make a 4×5 rectangle).

It is worth remembering that to be useful, these fungi need to be at a certain stage and they only grow when the player is in that environment, i.e., try to always spend time in the Nether for your plantation to grow a lot.

Below you will see the recipes for all the potions in the game, remember to watch the progress bar next to where to put the main ingredient and the little balls next to it to make sure the potion is reacting and that you are doing everything right.

- Poison Potion: To make this potion you will need Nether fungus, the ingredient that will be in the top square of the stand, in the three squares below you should place three vials of water. After a few seconds processing the fungus it will dissolve and the jars of water will become jars of "Strange Potion", which have no effect. From this base you will add a spider's eye to it and the potion will gain its poisonous property. The effect lasts 45 seconds and during this time the player will gradually lose life points.

- Healing Potion: This potion helps heal the player's life instantly, even if he is low on hunger (a fact that prevents hearts from regenerating normally). For this item you will need a glowing watermelon (made from a normal watermelon slice placed on the workbench along with a gold nugget next to it) and Nether fungus.

Place the fungus in the top square and the vials of water in the bottom three squares, wait for the vials to turn into Strange Potion and then place the watermelon in the top square, at the end of the process you will have a healing potion, ideal for taking on bosses without risking dying too many times.
