God's Providence In Our Lives During Hardships

Often people have a view of God that thinks he is only a God that only wants things to go great in your life. That he wants health wealth and prosperity, that if you have faith and speak the right things and believe the right things that he will give you favor and blessing. This kind of view of God can be very destructive in that its not biblical. We need to have a biblical understanding of God because in the bible he never promises these things. On the contrary he often promises that life would be hard, that we will go through hardships & persecution & sometimes he even brings these things into our lives for discipline or other good purposes like holiness & righteousness. If we have the view that God wants everything to go the way we think is good for us and it doesn't happen this way most often times it creates more doubt in God and ultimately leading people to leave there faith. This is why truth matters and as 2 Timothy 2 states that we should rightly divide the word of truth.
