Dog becomes 'stuck' behind party streams hung in pet owner's hallway

A dog who refused to walk through glittering party streamers hanging off a wall – thinking it was a door – has left TikTok users in hysterics.

Maylyn Darrow, 25, a pop singer and songwriter from Alabama, US, had hung up the decorations in her living room hallway to celebrate her husband passing a big exam.

But she soon realised her pup wasn't a big fan – as he became "stuck" behind the streamers and refused to budge.

In a clip that has since gone viral on TikTok, with over 3 million views and 612,800 likes, 3-year-old Cavapoo, Winston, can be seen sitting behind the blue glittering curtain, seemingly unsure how to pass.

“Winson that’s not a door, you can come through that," Darrow tells her dog, who looks increasingly confused.

She even tries to tempt the pooch with a snack, by placing a chunk of cheese on the other side of the curtain to lure him through, but to no avail.

The 25-year-old decided to film the hilarious scene and share it on TikTok and social media users can't get enough of the funny moment.

“Winston has trust issues," one user joked.

“He thinks it’s a fence”, someone else added.

“Winston has been tricked before LOL”, another person wrote.

"He respects your privacy," one person said.

Darrow eventually picked Winston up and walked him through the streamers.

Since then, the pup has been jolting through them without hesitation.

“I had hung the streamers and other decorations to celebrate my husband passing a big exam,” Darrow said.

“The decorations had been up for about 30 minutes before I realised my dog was ‘stuck’ behind the streamers.

“After I picked Winston up and walked him through the streamers, he realised that he could pass through them.

“When I placed him back on the ground he went straight to run back through the streamers!

“Winston’s a pretty sassy dog, his side-eye is like no other.

“And he’s always camera-ready, I use him in my music videos all the time.

“I am a bit blown away by how viral the video went!

“I get a kick out of Winston and never could have imagined that this many people would also.”
