The Marshall Islands, officially the Republic of the Marshall Islands (Marshallese: Aolepān Aorōkin Ṃajeḷ) is an island country near the Equator in the Pacific Ocean. The country's population of 58,413 people is spread out over 29 coral atolls, comprising 1,156 individual islands and islets.
Ij Io̧kwe Ļo̧k Aelōn̄ Eo Aō, also known more simply as Ij Io̧kwe Ļo̧k, is the former national anthem of the Marshall Islands.

I love my islands,
Where I was born,
The surroundings, the paths,
And the gatherings.
I cannot leave here,
Because this is my rightful place,
My family heritage is forever here.
It is best for me to die here.
