DYNASTY 💍 THEN AND NOW 2020

One of the best Soap operas of all-time has to be Dynasty. Originally running on ABC from 1981 to 1989, we were treated with 220 episodes of the trials and tribulations of two feuding families, the Carringtons and the Colbys, both oil-lucrative households located in Denver, Colorado. The show revolved around the Carringtons, led by the patriarch: John Forsythe. and perfectly matched by Linda Evans as Krystle Carrington. Joan Collins, Heather Locklear, & John James also helped lead this show to an impressive 9 seasons. After a modest 19th in ratings its first year, Season 2 saw a huge bump in viewers, placing #5 out of all the networks, right behind the mustache of Magnum P.I. Dynasty regularly competed against fellow primetime soap opera: Dallas, and by spring 1985, it was the No. 1 show in the U.S, until The Cosby Show took hold of the reigns.
