Bypass Indian Trail & Try "Old Sluice" Instead - The Rubicon Trail

"Old Sluice" - or often times called "Middle Sluice" - is a trail in the middle of The Rubicon that is often bypassed. If starting The Rubicon from Loon Lake, Old Sluice is after Little Sluice and before you get to Buck Island. Instead of taking Indian Trail (which is basically an off-camber trek up or down a granite mountain), try this trail.

Old Sluice will definitely keep you on your toes with some tight, pinchy spots. Damage is possible if proper lines aren't taken. I took some incorrect lines that Carnage4x4 Adventures had to help me out of. I think it's a fun trail. It's much quieter because not many people go this way. We went during Rubithon and had the whole trail to ourselves. It also offers some much needed shade in areas whereas Indian Trail is just a big wide open space.(Although it has pretty views.)

Thanks for watching! Please let me know what I can do better. I know I need to wheel better, but I'm novice. If I don't feel comfortable, then Carnage4x4 Adventures will take the wheel. Better safe than sorry imo.
