Turning Faster and Slower May Yet Salvage the Axle Model

The concept is that a rotor balanced at the axle but with the mass unevenly distributed and the magnets at the longer side could make the boat go with compass propulsion without requiring the entire boat to swing side to side or rotate in circles.

Seems there is some hope after all. The boat turns each time the north end of the magnet going CW passes east and the compass torque opposes the rotation of the rotor.

So the reasoning now is that to counter that turning of the boat the speed of the rotor can be changed to slow it down each turn.
