And so it came to be

As it was in the beginning
where all things start
Formed body and soul
with a beating heart

A journey long ahead was planned
many decades it now has spanned

As it was mapped out all along
I played my part, sometimes wrong

Lessons occasionally learned the hard way
I should have listened at the end of the day

Now I see with opened eyes
there was truth mixed in with lies

Now I know discernment is better
no longer follow to the letter

No one can learn from another’s mistakes
experience it yourself is what it takes

As it was in the beginning
I realized I am finally free
Life has come full circle
and so it came to be
