On Monday, 5 JUL 21, on the 58th EPISODE, of New Paradigms with Sargis Sangari, LT. Col. Dean Ladd, USMC (Ret.), & Steven Weingartner, Senior Editor NEC-SE, author of #FaithfulWarriors, A Combat Marine Remembers the Pacific War, and the 1998 recipient of the Carl Sandburg Award for Nonfiction, talked about the combat chronicles of LT. Col. Dean Ladd, who will be 101 years old on 8 DEC 21.

LTC Dean Ladd received a field commission and saw extensive WWII combat in the Pacific with the Second Marine Division (#2ndmardiv) at #Guadalcanal, #Tarawa, #Saipan, and #Tinian as recalled in his book, "Faithful Warriors".

Steven Weingartner, who published the book at the Naval Institute Press, also wrote Lala’s Story: A Memoir of the #Holocaust, written with Lala Fishman, and is the 1998 recipient of the Carl Sandburg Award for Nonfiction.

This was the first two-part interview that scratched the surface of the 100 years of life lessons and 30 plus years of experience of LTC Ladd with the USMC.

New Paradigm will conduct the Part II interview with Dean after his visit to the Pearl Harbor National Memorial on or before 7 DEC 21.
