The Downing of TWA 800 - What Really Happened

On July 17, 1996, TWA 800 exploded approximately thirteen minutes after departing JFK airport in New York bound for Charles deGaulle airport in Paris. All 230 souls onboard perished. This video is a copy of the material I present in lectures about that awful event. As a TWA 747 Captain, I was the Council Chairman for ALPA Council #024, and represented all TWA pilots who flew international routes for the airline. Involved in the early phases of the NTSB investigation of the crash, I was appalled at the direction it took after being taken over by the FBI. This is my observations on what happened next.
