In 2017, Tyler Curling and Mike Baker moved into an apartment together in Hampton Roads area of Virginia , having known each other from a prior band. They formed a group and initially called it Paragon. Matthew Spencer, a close friend of the 2, and Clifford Clark, a well received Gospel Drummer joined as full time members and have recorded an EP with Will Beasley in Richmond Virginia. They would go on to play shows, an a small east coast tour, and would change their sound from a alternative rock sound, to a indie R&B fusion. And with that sound change would change their name to Emerald Beach. They now have 1 song released in 2020 under the new name, and plan to release 2 new songs in 2021.
