VP Harris Staffers Are Miserable

The truth about Vice President Kamala Harris’ is not pretty. With today’s Americans for Limited Government Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. According to a report in Politico, her office is reportedly an “abusive environment” where staffers are “thrown under the bus” when things go wrong. So says 22 current and former staffers who spoke on condition of anonymity. Much of the ire is aimed at Harris’ chief of staff, Tina Flournoy. Flournoy allegedly routinely blames lower-level staffers when initiatives fall through and often ignores input from staff, the sources told Politico “It’s not a healthy environment and people often feel mistreated. It’s not a place where people feel supported.” A spokesperson for the Biden administration and Harris have pushed back on reports of toxicity within the vice president’s office. As the vice president continues to look for a connection with the American people, like a 20-something on their sixth Tinder date, her increasing separation from the population’s interests adds to the daunting path to 2022 and 2024 that Democratic leadership are set to face.
