coal forge and welding table build

the coal forge table is made of 3/8 in sheet metal that I cut a hole in the middle for the fire pot to go in. the sides are scrap angle iron I found and made a box out of to hold the sheet metal bottom. the bottom of fire pot is 2 peace's of 1inch square tube that I cut the side out of and welded together. the size of the fire pot base came out to 2in wide x 18in long. the sides of the fire pot are 3/8 in sheet metal that I welded on at a 45deg angle. the total size of the fire pot is 3.5 in deep 4in wide and 18in long. I made it long so that I can heat treat large knifes easier. then I made a table that will hold my coal as well as be a welding table that I attached to the side of the new forge. I again used 3/8 in sheet metal and the legs are 3 in pipe. this makes it easy for me to dump out a 70 lbs bag of coal onto the table and drag the coal with my coal rack, that I made in a previous vid, to which ever forge I'm using at the time so I don't have to constantly shovel the coal into the fire. the air supply is a air mattress blower that I ended up changing to a cheap hair dryer. the hood is a sheet metal box I found in a scrap pile. the chimney is 8in stove pipe. it is recommended that you use 10-12 in pipe but this is what I could afford and get locally. it works with a regular cap as long as there is a good wind. to make it better I changed the regular cap out with a turbine that creates a bit of suction in the stove pipe and works much better. so if your wanting to make your own coal forge i hope this helps.
