In this paper, Hamilton cites the power of the President, “to NOMINATE, and, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate to appoint ambassadors, other public ministers and consuls, judges of the Supreme Court, and all other officers of the United States whose appointments are not otherwise provided for in the Constitution.” Hamilton explains that the power of nomination is better in the hands of one man as it will be less apt of party politics influence and the senate will work as a safeguard in power of appointment.
