Miami Building Collapse Results in 4 Dead and 159 Missing, All From Neglected Maintenance

Pedestrian Overpass in Washington D.C. collapsed earlier in the week. 5 people were injured, no one seriously. It was struck by a vehicle and shifted from its foundation. It was inspected in February of 2021 and found to be in good condition, but was inspected a couple months ago and found to be in need of desperate repair.

The Champlain Towers that collapsed in Surfside, Florida, just outside of Miami, partially collapsed. Currently, 4 people are dead and 159 are missing. This again was an oversight. It had been sinking for the better part of 3 decades, tenants have warned about the lackluster conditions and now, because of corruption in government and builders, we potentially have a lot of people dead and seriously injured.
