A Day starts in the morning, not at midnight or in the evening

If a day starts at sunset, when it becomes dark, then when does a night begin?
Days beginning when it's dark and most folks go to bed seems rather backward from the perceived norm. We are children of the light not of darkness. Yahuwah said He called the light DAY and the darkness He called NIGHT. No confusion it is in the Scriptures.
