Fundamentals of Constitution Article V

Getting down to the Fundamentals of Constitution's Article V...

Just why was it included in the original Constitution.?
.
There were only 7 Articles-
So what was the specific significance of the States' Rights to hold Amendment Conventions...
.
- Was it a poison pill.?
- Or a "trash the whole idea" lever.?
- Maybe an emergency cord to be used as a last resort Hail Mary.?
- A process for Congress to approve as States can't control it anyway.?
- If the national government is the problem- it should set the rules.?

Were the Framers that ignorant or disillusioned to allow these ideas.?
.
- Or ponder this one... How about the opposers to Article V Conventions claim that once 34 States agree on the agenda of the call for a convention to propose amendment, Congress names where & when- then the agenda magically changes into a nightmare, the agenda is tossed out, rules are changed and the door opens for anything under the sun can become part of a whole new constitution...!!!...???

Fundamentals:
. Article V provides for a meeting for States to get together,
. without the national government,
. in a diplomatic discussion of the topics
. detailed in the application to Congress,
. to debate some solutions that can be agreed upon
. to send to the State' Legislatures for approval.

That is the exact intent of the Framers of our Constitution- to allow a process to make adjustments to the Law of the Land.!

Strip away all of the facetious possibilities-
the cavil, the ridiculous arguments
& think simply and clearly... It's just a meeting with no power.

It is a fundamental process within a limited agenda, the very same process that the Congress has... to propose amendments.
