Big Tech Spending Grant Money in Blue Precincts

A group of House Republicans sent a letter this week to the left-leaning group Center for Tech and Civic Life asking them to explain where the hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars they were given during the COVID-19 pandemic went. With today's ALG Minute, I'm Catherine Mortensen. The three-hundred -and-fifty million dollars in grant money was supposed to be used to address COVID concerns related to voting. However, GOP lawmakers said less than one percent went to things like masks and other personal protective equipment. Instead, the group spent about 92 percent of YOUR money in overwhelmingly Democrat-leaning precincts. They spent it on things like registering teen voters, automatic voter registration, pay raises and vehicles for their employees, and designing absentee ballots.
