A stock market or shares is the grouping of sellers and buyers of shares (or shares). These shares represent equity in companies, and may include security bonds on a public stock market, or shares sold privately, such as shares in private companies sold to investors in crowdfunding platforms. Investing in the stock market is mostly through stock traders and e-commerce platforms. Investors usually invest with an investment plan in mind.

Shares can be categorized by the country in which the company is based. For example, Nestlé and Novartis are based in Switzerland and trade on the Swiss SIX market, so they can be considered part of the Swiss stock market, but these stocks can be traded in other country markets, such as American Depository Receipts in the US Stock Market
