Scared rescue cat comes out from under a chair to visit with a volunteer ❤️

I volunteer at a Humane Society in Alberta, Canada 🇨🇦.
While making coffee I will interact with the lunch room cats.
This is Lily and she is so afraid of everyone that she has stayed under a chair in the lunch room for weeks. Her face is dirty because of the dust on the ground under the chair.
I’m not a cat “whisperer” at all, in fact I’m allergic to them. However, if Lily wants to hang out with me for a bit as she learns to trust humans again, I am willing to spend time with her.
