Hating With Perfect Hatred - Matthew 13:1-12

Highlights:

* Knowledge in the mysteries of God had been given to Jesus' disciples, but only in the sense of them being ordained to receive it. They actually began receiving that knowledge after they received the Spirit, for the knowledge of God comes only through the Spirit.

* A heart that can know God and His mysteries has to be given to us.

* There is a lot more to knowing God than most of God’s people think.

* David prayed this kind of prayer often: “Incline my heart to your testimonies” (Ps. 119:36a); “Oh, do not cause me to stray from your commandments” (Ps. 119:10b)! “Do not incline my heart to an evil thing “(Ps. 141:4a).

- If you do not think that God would ever incline someone’s heart to an evil thing, you don’t know God yet.
- If you do not think that God would ever take from someone the fear and love they once felt for Him, you don’t know God yet.
- In fact, if you think that God would not ever. . . anything, you don’t know God yet.
- But God has given us who believe a heart that can know know Him if we want to! All we have to do is ask, seek, and knock. It shall be given!
- It is a wonderful thought, that God wanted us and chose us before the world began, called us once we were here and gave us a heart to know Him, and is preparing us in this life to reign with His Son forever in His presence. He is a wonderful Father.

* Before the Spirit came, the human race was divided into two types of people: Jews and Gentiles. But when the Spirit came, a third kind of being was created from among men. These three groups are mentioned by Paul in 1Corinthians 10: “Give no offense, whether to (1) Jews, or (2) Greeks, or (3) to the Assembly of God” (1Cor. 10:32).

* If you love God, you hate the opinions of false teachers because their opinions, their teachings, lead to damnation.

* Every religion on earth, including the Christian religion, is based on "opinions that lead to damnation", and anyone with the love of God alive in their heart feels God's hatred for them all.

* Hatred is a beautiful thing if it is God's hatred.

* God loves His Son and is going to honor him with a universe where righteousness, and nothing but righteousness, dwells, or has ever dwelt, or ever will dwell. As the prophet said, "He will make an utter end. Affliction shall not arise a second time."

* To have fellowship with the Father and the Son is to feel the way they feel about each other.

* At the end of this age, with astonishing blessings, God is going to erase the memory of the foolish and this wicked world right out of your mind. This is what the blessings of the Spirit do to us here and now. They are foretastes of the overwhelming joy and glory to come.

* Do not be taken in by the sweetness of Satan and his dashing ministers! Do not be taken in by those who look good but are not good.

* Love what is of God the way Jesus loves it, and hate what is not of God the way Jesus hates it -- with all your heart and with all your strength, and with all your mind, and with all your soul.

* Everything in this universe -- billions of people the world over, nice people and popular ministers, and your own flesh -- are telling you that the Son of God is not all that good and that sin is not all that bad. I am telling you that "whatever is not of faith is sin," and that God is going to destroy with an everlasting destruction whatever is not of Him.
