Why did the United States fight in World War II against Nazi Germany? This question entails more than an interesting historical pondering. It speaks to the goals of American foreign policy since WWII. It speaks to what kind of nation America is and what or rather for whom its military exists. This is from a segment in response to The Lincoln Project's recent claim that American soldiers at D-Day were Antifa because they were fighting against fascists. The Lincoln Project even claimed that American soldiers were fighting to defeat fascism. Is that really why we fought, though?
