Babylon will be followed by lesser empires prior to the arrival of God's eternal kingdom. All earthly power is temporary. Worldly dominion is granted by God. While terrible people may come to power and persecute and disperse God's people, a day is coming when God' will establish His empire. A stone cut without hands will crush the powers of this world and set up God's eternal, holy, all-encompassing kingdom. God is in control. His day is coming.
