Better Pay and Conditions for Care Workers

We undervalue the importance of this sector and with the cutbacks over the last ten years, their conditions have become worse and worse. With the demographic that we are all getting older and living much longer this sector is under massive stress. Increasing their wages and improving their conditions, this will attract more caring people.

We should pay care workers a minimum salary of £14.50 per hour (outside London) and provide them with better working conditions leading to better prospects.
