GENES - THE NEW TECH FRONTIER

We've learned a huge amount in the last recent decade about what nature has already built for us in our bodies ... and in our brains. Now we're moving forward in the science of modifying, redesigning and enhancing them both. One expedient way to do it is by using the body's own machinery to change itself into the desired result. It's all about genes, the code, the software if you will. By changing the instructions, we can literally "command" living organisms to become whatever we want. We look at the big picture tonight, the potential advantages or effects on the species, and ask you to think about your role in helping to steer our Technological destiny. Our episodes build on each other from week to week and are aired live every Saturday night - 9pm eastern. Science Fiction comes true.
