The makiga manual brick press can produce 300 to 400 interlocking blocks per day. the blocks are made from a mix of soil, sand and cement.
1 50kg bag of cement is enough to produce 100 blocks. the soil should be carefully selected, it must be free of large stones and "organics" meaning things like leaves, roots or other material that could rot away leaving voids in the finished blocks.
The interlocking features of the finished blocks allow faster construction with less mortar. the blocks can be dry stacked with mortar only needed on every 4th course.
