Believe it or not, that is the title of a Washington Post opinion piece this week but let’s just think about it for a moment. Rushed? This article was written by a former US Ambassador to Afghanistan so he should know better than to say our withdrawal is being rushed. We’ve only been planning it for years now. By the way, the last administration was ordered by the 45th President of the United States and Commander in Chief to withdraw on May 1 of 2021 so what happened to that planning? Nothing, unless the military ignored their CINC like they did with troop levels in Syria right?
