Spider Walk Guitar Exercise Day 16
Day 16 of the Spider Walk Guitar Exercise
Lots of annoying mistakes! I've improved a lot since I first started and was struggling to get my fingers to move across each string - it was really hard to even hold the strings down - I wish I had recorded the first few days so you could see how much I was struggling then! Still got a long way to go though and I'm already halfway through the 30 days.
I'm on a mission to practice this for at least 15 minutes each day and see how much my finger independence (which is currently TERRIBLE) will improve. I'm doing it fairly slow at only 80bpm and will only increase the speed when my accuracy and consistency improves. I've still got HUGE problems with accuracy and consistency in both my fretting and picking hands, but finger independence has improved a whole lot. When I first started this on Day 1 (which I don't have on video), fingers 3 and 4 were always moving together and I could hardly keep the strings down. I still have to make effort to keep the strings down but its much easier than before - my finger strength has certainly increased over the past 2 weeks.
