Powerful Women of the Bible: Mary Magdalene

Today, we will be talking about Mary Magdalene. She is powerful because she is one of the first female followers of Jesus. She was the first person to find Jesus' tomb empty and the first person to see Jesus after he rose from the grave. Her testimony really impacted me because she didn't recognize Jesus when he was standing in front of her, but she recognizes Him when He calls her by name! It had me thinking, how many times have you missed an encounter with Jesus because you were overcome with grief or troubles? How many times have you not recognized Jesus' presence in your life?
