20210607 "Blake Doesn't Talk" - The Daily Summation

You're standing at the door of your Moderately (Level 2) Autistic son's school as a vehicle pulls up in the parking lot.

Out of that vehicle, jumps the mother of another student (who happens to be at roughly the same level of Autism, and in your son's class). She gets her son out of the truck, and starts to walk him up to the entrance.

Your son notices him coming and the following conversation (paraphrasing) ensues:

Son: "There's something wrong with Blake (the other child)"
Parent: "Oh really, what's that?"
Son: "Blake doesn't talk."

Even to your son, Blake is "different."

This brings out another point, if the two children are both Moderately (Level 2) trending about equally toward Severe (Level 3) Autistic, have OBVIOUS differences in how they deal with the world.

This is what I consider on today's edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.
