Ouroboros

The Ouroborus eats its own tail
a cultural symbol depicting regeneration
Immortal symbol of time and life
it’s own destruction, it’s own creation

Totally and completely unto itself
on a collision of opposition
From Egypt to Greece in ancient tales
we’ve seen depictions of disposition

The Serpent of yore is destroying itself
approaching it’s end of days
One is the all facing demise
awaiting damnation it decays

Macrocosm and microcosm
worlds both physical and of spirit
A duality of both are interacting
neither by itself can sit

Salt of the earth and fire of the soul
a barren tree, a flower in bloom
In the corners of first paradise
will be the bones of Oroboros to exhume
