8+ Yards of Bias Tape from ONE Piece of Fabric | Quick Sewing Hack

Making bias tape from your favorite fabrics can add fun flair to sewing & quilting projects. In this episode of the Sewing Report, I tried a well-known easy hack to create continuous bias tape from one square of fabric, sewing only two seams. The bigger the cut, the longer your tape will be. I managed to get 8 yards and 23 inches (311 inches total!) of bias tape out of a 25 inch square of fabric. Have you tried this method of making bias tape? Let me know what you think!
Bias tape is commonly used in sewing and quilting projects to bind raw edges such as quilts, potholders, and pockets. Fabric cut diagonally of grain is considered "the bias" and it's a bit stretchy, making it ideal for binding curves.
