Here's a Review on the New 2020 Subaru Outback.
* See my other review on it regarding walk around and interior features.

* To Sum Up:
Honestly, Aside my concerns of that big screen and the slow/rough engine stop/start thing, I Have to Say, I love it !! and it's my TOP Choice for an Overall SUV to buy Over everything Else I've Test Driven !!
* I do believe there's lots of Good & Great choices out there, for sure !!! And since Everyone has their own criteria and order of importance to their own personal driving/vehicle needs/wants, Everyone is not going to RUN Out and Buy the 2020 Outback... I mean, I just said it's the best option, and I'm Not Buying one !!!
- Here's my Pros and Con in writing (in case you rather read it and not watch whole video)... Below will be IIHS & NHTSA Links for Crash test and other good to know info.

Pros:
- 2.4L Turbo Engine is Powerful and Smooth ! Not much turbo lag. Good Power in low street to mid hwy. ranges !! I can't test above 80mph (140kms/hr) and up ranges, as I don't have facility for that, unless I want to lose my license on the hwy.'s :-)
- Same Engine is not very loud at full throttle
- Same Engine has GREAT Fuel Economy for it's power !! Maybe tops in it's class ! * Also Good Fuel economy of the 2.5L Engine.
- Ride Comfort is Very Good. Not Top, but Very Good.
- Seat Comfort is Very Good too (Front/Rear). I love the Nissan Murano's Seat/Ride Comfort the Most so far.
- Interior is Classy and Luxurious. Not Super Lux, but Very Nice for it's Price Range.
- Visibility is Always good in the Outback !
- Power Seats for Passenger Side, w/Up/Down !
- Memory Seats this Year syncs with Ext. side mirrors ! Finally.
- 8.7" Ground clearance (I love that) I do like to venture down trails.
- AWD System, x-mode is great.
- It's Lane Keep assist is on the Good side.
- It's forward collision braking assist system(works at City & Hwy. Speeds) has good scores, and also decent scores for adult pedestrian detection/braking (see more details on these in the IIHS link below).
- Adaptive Cruise Control suppose to bring you to a stop if need be.
- Rear/back up braking
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert works well.
- Blind Spot Monitoring Light positioned on side mirror housing (not affected by sun glare).
- Handling is Good for it's class/ground clearance.
- Cargo Space is Plenty.
- Has paddle shifters to play with the Fake Gears on the CVT (Ratio changes do help with engine brake)
- Harmon/Kardon Stereo is Good in Subi's
- Head and Leg room is good all around.
- Outward Visibility is very good

So So:
- Eyesight is Great, but be aware, it's a back up, and doesn't work in Med. to heavier rain, as it can't see well. Is o.k. just an fyi
- same when the sun is at the right angle to blind it.
- getting in/out in rear seats is bit cumbersome.
Cons:
- That Big Screen !! How did you guess I was going to say that ? Hahaha
It's really cool and I liked it when it turned on and want to be modern techy guy.
but trying to swipe screens over, didn't work well at all.
- Sometimes you have to press more than once for it to take your selection.
- Important Every Day Use buttons are in that screen & Not a Hard button somewhere on side/centre/ dash or console areas, where they should be !
- They can take 2-3 steps away to get to them to turn them off. * While Driving, that's not Cool !!... The main pages are customize-able, which help bring some features closer to accessing but sadly the important one in sub-menus are Not able to be widgets on your home screen. :-(
- Now has Engine stop/start thing, Personally. I honestly would live with it, if there's a direct button to turn it off... but here, it's 3 STEPS in to turn it off, every time you want too ! :-( .. in that big screen
- Sadly, even if I liked to use it, it's slower and Rougher ! than all others I've experienced.
- X-mode 2 is ONLY in the Onyx / Outdoor (canada) trim. So .. Hmm... ?
- Power of the 2.5L is huge con IMHO. It's better than 2019 model, so that's good, but for it's size and what it's designed to do, I think it still should have been designed bit more powerful. Now, it's rated to go 0-60 in approx. 9 secs.
Passing power will be on weak side on hwy.
