Why Biden Buried COVID Origin Findings

When our very own ACLJ Senior Counsel for Global Affairs Mike Pompeo was Secretary of State, he led a State Department investigation into the origin of the COVID-19 virus. However, the Biden Administration has shut down that investigation after they were briefed on the State Department’s draft findings in February and March of this year. Clearly, the Biden Administration did not like what the State Department found.

The justification that the White House gave in shutting down this investigation was that questions were raised about the legitimacy of the findings, and it seemed to be an ineffective use of resources.

ACLJ Senior Advisor for National Security and former Acting Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell shed some light on the White House justification:

"That very well could be the case, but it could also be that they knew something else through better sourcing and they didn’t want the State Department to take the lead. They wanted it to be more legitimate. Look there’s a whole bunch of questions here. That’s why we need to go back to the fact that the IC [Intelligence Community] through Avril Haines needs to come forward to answer some questions. The role of Congress is big here. We need to have our congressional leaders asking these questions. Why shut down one investigation? The only answer that is acceptable is that we have better information at another angle.

Now, I can tell you that the IC does have better information than what the State Department can provide. So, let's come forward and get that information. Let’s give transparency a chance here. The Biden team from the beginning has been playing politics with the intelligence community. You look at what they did at the Khashoggi report – that was outrageously political. You look at what they are doing now at recruitment – outrageously political. So, all of these propagandists in Washington D.C. who constantly talk about politicizing intelligence, I don’t see any of them talking about the politicization right now of the Biden Administrations Intelligence Community and what they are doing to find the truth and the right information."

At the forefront of the pandemic was the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Dr. Anthony Fauci. We told you how he has changed his mind, from once believing the coronavirus could only have been transmitted from bats to now not being so sure it developed naturally.

In a House Committee meeting, Dr. Fauci openly admitted how much taxpayer dollars were given to the laboratory that may have leaked this virus which has killed so many millions worldwide. Dr. Fauci said the money was funneled to the Chinese lab through the non-profit EcoHealth Alliance to fund:

"A modest collaboration with very respectable Chinese scientists who were experts on coronavirus. . . .The National Institutes of Health earmarked $600,000 for the Wuhan Institute of Virology over a five-year period to study whether bat coronaviruses could be transmitted to humans."

So, the United States essentially funded the lab that has now been linked to developing the virus that shut the whole world down. Thankfully, the United States Senate passed an amendment yesterday that stopped the funding for research in China. A country that commits genocide on its own people should not be funded by the United States to develop more research for deadly viruses.

We are preparing a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request that will go to various government agencies to find out what happened to the State Department’s report. The world deserves to know where this virus was created, how it spread, and who is responsible?

Today’s full Sekulow broadcast is complete with even more analysis of the State Department's investigation into the origins of the coronavirus.
