rare jaguar cub is born with black fur in England

A rare feline was born at the Big Cat Sanctuary in Kent County, England. The jaguar cub came into the world with a completely black coat, which is rare among animals of the species.

The dark-haired puppy was temporarily named "Baby" according to the Daily Mail. The characteristic of the black color was inherited by the feline's father, who is a black jaguar (Panthera onca) - however only 10% of the jaguars have a completely dark coat. The other 90% have the characteristic spots of the jaguars.
