Notes from PG Music

This bluegrass style features guitar, mandolin, fiddle, bass, and a banjo soloist. The guitar plays simple strummed chords and occasionally keeps a bass line going in the lower strings. Panned to opposite sides, both the mandolin and fiddle play in a "chop" style with chords landing on beats 2 and 4. The bass plays roots and fifths in half notes throughout. Rounding out the group is a ripping banjo soloist playing a deluge of 8th note lines to keep the energy high. This song is in the key of G major and features major and minor chords. Chord changes happen every 4 to 16 beats.
