No, Better Pitching is Not What's Wrong With Baseball, NBA's Social Justice Award is Obvious

MLB is on track to demolish the record for number of No-Hitters in a season. A tally that has stood since the late 1800's (Baseball's an old game). What's the cause of it? Overwhelmingly superior pitching? Unfair offensive punishment? Not doing your job or studying film? Perhaps the batter's box is filled with assholes trying to reach the parking lot instead of getting runners on base? Nah, time to make some changes!

NBA, the professional sports league that cannot buy a clue, is establishing a brand new award for the player that makes the greatest improvement to their community. Not quite the NFL's great Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, no, no, no, this award has a catch. It is the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar SOCIAL JUSTICE Award, I kid you not, awarded to the player who "makes strides in the field of social justice". Way to read the room in your sinking ship.
