6 2L Diesel Engine Rebuild - Part 2: Bottom End Breakdown

This is part two of a series of videos following a complete tear-down and rebuild of a 1986 GM 6.2 liter diesel engine that came from a 1986 M1008 CUCV. (For search engines: M1009, M1010, M1028, M1031)

In Part 2 we take the shortest route possible to quickly remove the bottom end of the GM 6.2 liter diesel. We will remove the Harmonic Balancer, crankcase vent baffle, crankcase front end cover, fuel injector pump drive gear, timing chain and sprockets, camshaft thrust bearing, valve lifter guide retainers, valve lifter guides, HD roller valve lifters, oil pump intermediate to vacuum pump shaft, camshaft, oil pan, oil pump screen, oil pump, connecting rod bearing caps, piston assemblies, connecting rod bearing kits, crankshaft bearing caps, crankshaft and fuel pump push rod.
