On this edition of the Ex Terra Podcast, Tom Patton talks with Christopher Stott, a founder of the Institute of Space Commerce and founder, chairman and former CEO of ManSat.

There is not one U.N. Sustainable Development Goal that cannot be met without space. Indeed, many if not all the issues we face in the world today can be addressed through space. So why aren’t they? That’s also a topic of discussion at the Institute of Space Commerce

The ISC seeks to tackle major issues: from climate change to the e-economy; deep space exploration; space habitats and settlement of the Moon; space resources; space based solar power; space tourism; launch systems and satellite operations; the growing Low Earth Orbit Economy; the use of space in agriculture; medical research, and more. To date, the Institute of Space Commerce has over open source 150 papers on many topics of space commerce and we need more.

No topic is off limits in a debate on the future well-being of the entire human race. Space commerce impacts every industry and every issue in the world today.

The Institute of Space Commerce strives to make business in space more manageable for youth. They are and will always be a forum for communication, businesses, and education, and they welcome enthusiasts, doers and thinkers from all sides of the global economy to take part in our forums and web platforms. And as a North American affiliate of the International Space University, the ISC’s work is based upon its foundational ‘3 Is’ of International, Intercultural, and Interdisciplinary.

With a focus on publishing and translating the message between space and youth, the ISC is well aware that space commerce is not for the faint of heart. Nonetheless, they firmly believe that only youth have the strength, creativity, and skills to concurrently leverage the spin-ins and spin-offs amongst all industries in the world which are now space correlated.
