Black hole is a region of space-time in which the gravitational field is so intense that nothing - no particle or electromagnetic radiation like light - can escape it. Although the event horizon has a huge effect on the destination and circumstances of an object that passes through it, it has no detectable local characteristics. [9] In many ways, a black hole acts as an ideal black body, as it does not reflect light. [10] [11] In addition, quantum field theory in curved space-time predicts that event horizons emit Hawking radiation, with the same spectrum as a blackbody of temperature inversely proportional to its mass. This temperature is on the order of billionths of a kelvin for stellar black holes, which makes it practically impossible to observe.
