Why I Personally Do Not Trust the Media

I wanted to do this video several months ago but I was scared about the backlash it might cause. Since March, I have been asking a lot of questions on my Facebook profile about what is going on in the world. As a journalist, asking questions and voicing my personal opinions is what I got paid to do! Strangely, the last eight months I am no longer allowed to question things if it goes agains the mainstream narrative. I have been careful to not stand by my personal opinions too strongly. However, the information we have been getting has been inconsistent and I don’t feel confident in making my own statements until I can be sure about what I say. And right now, as I write this I don’t know what the truth is - but what I do know is that what we are being told by the media doesn’t make sense to me.
- Despite the fact that I have been asking questions, I have being doing what I have been told. I comply when needed and have been following all of the rules and guidelines implemented in my area. I DO NOT AGREE TO MOST OF WHAT HAS BEEN GOING ON. This opinion though has cost me just about everything I had left in the world and I am tired of keeping quite.

MY OPINON HOWEVER - is just that. It is based on the values I learned growing up from my parents, church, school and all the media that I have consumed. However, strangely, in the last eight months, having an opinion that goes against the current popular narrative is not allowed. The bullying, shaming and anger that other people have expressed hurts my heart. I don’t understand where humans kindness and compassion has gone?
