D.A. King explains his concerns with recently signed legislation & Kemp’s history of broken promises

King joins BKP to talk about three bills that passed in the 2021 General Assembly that put Georgia in interstate compacts designed to standardize the process of issuing several professional licenses. He outlines his fears that the agreement could bypass existing immigration verification. He tells BKP there have been two opposing opinions passed out of legislative counsel on the possibility. Gov Kemp has signed the bills with assurances that there is nothing to worry about. King spends a few minutes reminding viewers of candidate Brian Kemp’s 2018 campaign promises on illegal immigration and makes it clear he does not trust the governor on the issue. D.A. urges voters to move on from the 2020 election to make a difference on the future and to recognize illegal immigration is a critically important issue for the 2022 election.
