06 Impala read description for notes

I may have mentioned some of this in the video but, I know I forgot a couple things.

The Bad:
A/C compressor noise
Rack and pinion stiff at idle in the cold months
Rotted lift points
Creaking noise from rear when starting and stopping
Tires have about 4/32 left
Hood strut finally failed
Cig burns in interior
Dings, dents and scratches all over
Vent recirculation door does not respond (likely the actuator)
Driver's seat belt doesn't latch unless you push the button a bit, after the male end is in. I think I'm gonna take care of that though.

The good:
A/C works
Power seat, mirrors, locks and windows all work.
Tilt steering is tight
Cruise and ABS work
No SES, SRS, or other trouble indicators lit.
Power steering pump, belt, tensioner and idler pullies replaced last year.
Left rear hub assembly replaced last year.
Evap Can solenoid... Or valve? Whichever one is by the gas filler neck, replaced last year.

Many parts replaced through advance auto parts warranty under my cell number. I distinctly remember the Right front bearing coming from AutoZone about 10 years ago. It's a Timkin, lifetime warranty if I remember. Under my father's house number. I replaced the starter about 8 or 9 years ago. Battery is 2 or 3 years old I think. Sat for 3 weeks without being started and fired right up so still plenty good.

I'm thinking between this and the video that's all there is to talk about. I never rigged anything on it.

Overall I would say it's safe and dependable but, she's gonna teach Gabe a thing or two about replacing parts. I'd say the tires should be his first concern. Then maybe brakes before next winter depending on how much he drives it. I got the pads from AutoZone years ago, front and rear, lifetime warranty. Just use my dad's house number for warranty, pretend you're me and save the kid a few bucks.

It's 10 years of service on this thing, but if I think of anything else, I'll let you know and if y'all have questions, you can always call me.
