20210511 Traffic Stop - The Daily Summation

Everybody makes mistakes. That obviously includes traffic cops.

Because of the nature of their jobs, the mistakes such people make, can be terribly serious. People might LITERALLY DIE as a result.

As hard as they try to keep from making such errors, periodically, just based on SHEER VOLUME OF CASES, they WILL OCCUR.

Here's the thing though, I've been stopped MULTIPLE TIMES in my life (but ALMOST NEVER even TICKETED). Why is that?

Have I ever been asked to exit my vehicle? No. Is that because I'm "white?"

I don't tend to believe so. I would bet you would find a LARGE NUMBER of "black" folks, who ended up with a warning, or a minor traffic ticket as a result of a stop. Can you explain why the VAST MAJORITY of such stops, probably results in nothing greater than a citation? I'm pretty sure the "race" of the person stopped (and that of the officer or officers) has PRECIOUS LITTLE TO DO WITH the end result 99% of the time.

This is the subject for discussion on today's edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.
