Treatment for Low Back Stiffness into Extension | Feat.

When people need treatment to increase extension in their lower back, to relieve pain, disc symptoms or stiffness in their back we use a PA mobilisation to help them improve their extension. This is a really is effective at gaining more mobility in the lower back - into extension which in turn helps them to be able to do the extension stretches at home (see the video from this week).

This Phyiso treatment is really helpful for people getting pain from lots of sitting and is very common right now with all the working from home going on - and not so great workstation set ups (if you need a good set up guide have a look at my previous laptop video!)

For the practitioners out there - when you’re doing mobilisation I tend to lock my thumbs, lock my elbows, lock my shoulders and use my body weight to push the load through my thumbs. It makes it way more effective and better load transfer, kinder on the thumbs and kinder on the patient.
