There always seems to come a time when out of the blue something hard hits the lives of people that bring great terror and despair. Something so overwhelming that all of a person's ability to pray has been rendered silent. There may be decades of maturity in prayer, yet there seems to be only silence. Which does not make sense because of all the previous years stacked up with the solid habit and exercise of praying through everything.

Those that experience this find that they are at a loss for words. There is in a sense an empty flatness during the time they feel there should be robust prayers flowing out of rivers of experience. But it is not so. There is only silence. What I have found out in this place, (because it is a real place), is that God has another way. He sees and knows what has happened, and He chooses a different way for that person. What begins with the attempt to pray and feels like it amounts to nothing, God hears and answers. But we do not realize it at first because all is dark and silent.

Then He will send the Spirit of worship into your spirit. He will only want you to sing and praise the great and majestic name of Jesus Christ. He will cause you to sing and praise the "beauties of holiness," and how "His mercies endure forever." There is something about this charge of God, because as you sing in the Spirit, a great release of power is sent from heaven into the enemies fortress he built around you. And immediately those fortress walls come down hard and fast like Jericho's walls. "Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you. Just Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established...so shall ye prosper."
