Facebook Oversight Board Upholds Trump Ban; Heritage Foundation Stops All Big Tech Donations

Facebook's oversight board decided Wednesday to uphold former president trump's ban from the platform. The responses split along party lines. The House Judiciary GOP issued one word in response: "pathetic," while Pennsylvania's democratic representative Mary Gay Scanlon (D) Pennsylvania called it "a small act of accountability." She says more needs to be done.

Trump launched his own communications platform of sorts Tuesday. The platform is on Trump's personal website. And it includes social-media-like posts that can be shared to Facebook and Twitter. A video introducing the platform says it's "a place to speak freely and safely straight from the desk of Donald J. Trump."

And Treasury secretary Janet Yellen says the federal reserve may have to raise interest rates to prevent the economy from overheating, if President Biden's multiple spending bills are implemented. But she's still not concerned about inflation. But not everyone agrees.
