2018 Silverado Crew Cab Rear Speaker Replacement

This video shows how to replace the rear door speakers in a 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500hd crew cab. In it the original speakers are modified and re-purposed to make mounting brackets for the replacement speakers. In doing so, the result is a very professional installation and the original wiring connectors are re-used. The OEM speakers are much more solid than the flimsy aftermarket brackets that are commercially available. Virtually all of the engineering and design effort that went into those OEM housings is retained.
