Betty Boop is a cartoon character created by Max Fleischer and designed by Grim Natwick, she appeared in the animated short series Talkartoons, produced by Fleischer Studios and distributed by Paramount Pictures.

Betty had the look of an independent and provocative girl, always with her legs sticking out, wearing a garter belt. The character debuted on August 9, 1930, in the short Dizzy Dishes mirroring the divas of this decade, to the sound of a lot of jazz (Big Bands). But Betty Boop became famous even when she played Helen Kane's "Boop-Oop-a Doop-Girl", and finally made history, participating in more than 100 animations
