Bob explains the meaning of "Apocalypsis". greek word translated in English to Revelation - the last book of the Bible. It means unveiling, so when you talk about prophecy, in particular the prophecy of the book of Revelation, we are talking about the unveiling of God's eternal plan to man, in advance of those events actually taking place.

God, in advance, tells us what is going to happen. It's an unveiling - it's the sheet being taken off of this great work of art, of God's eternal purpose. He shows it to us and he reveals it to us in advance.

Bob titled this message Apocalypsis because when Jesus Christ rose from the dead it was an unveiling of the power of God. It was something that they couldn't quite grasp despite Jesus talking to them about his death and his burial and his resurrection over and over and over in detail, warning them and advising them, and giving that information in advance, so that they would be comforted when that moment came... They still couldn't grasp it because they still couldn't believe that #1, he would be killed, but #2, that he would actually rise from the dead. Not in a temporary fashion as old testament miracles took place and new testament miracles, even before the resurrection of christ, but in this case, Jesus rose permanently from the dead and by virtue of that became the first born among many brothers.

And we are going to follow in his steps and that time is coming. For some of us, sooner than others.
04:49 It is coming and we are going to be able to be in his presence for eternity. It's just exciting to be able to contemplate what the Bible actually reveals about our future.

04:56 today Bob talks about he resurrection. It's the center piece of the entire Gospel message. It's been called the hinge of history because everything swings on that historical event . Everything before that is past history, and everything from that time is new history. Even our calendar is based on theses events , birth and ministry, and death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Because of that, the disciples preached this message, boldly!
